Tasty Tuesdays

This tasty tuesday I decided to go with something a bit different. Since it’s the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving it’s only appropriate to post about how you can work the rest of your turkey leftovers into the week! The good ladies over at Martha Stewart have a collection of 25 recipes on how to deal with those Thanksgiving turkey leftovers. Don’t these look delicious?!

For The Little Girls

What a perfect party this little girl had. Pink ruffles and cupcakes = every little girl’s dream. I particularly love the fresh fruit on the cupcakes. It looks delicious!

Thanksgiving Food
The food was delicious this year. And for the first time in a long time I didn’t feel nauseatingly full after dinner. I consider that an accomplishment
The turkeys were a hit. Everyone wanted one! Aunt Sue brought this thanksgiving cake and some apple pie. We had a good spread of desserts!

Chicken Noodle
I ate my last bowl of soup tonight. I have been holding off grocery shopping until I come back from Thanksgiving break that way everything I buy will be fresh.
The rest of my night consists of a warm blanket, my latest knitting project, a camera, and Cake Boss. Glorious.

Thanksgiving Spread
I love this Thanksgiving spread that Amy put together that I spotted being featured over at Green Wedding Shoes. She is one talented lady. Also refer to this post for more table spreads put together by Amy. This makes the preparation for a big feast fun!

The Kids Table
Thanksgiving is only days away. I remember having to sit at the kid table for years and years. Even when I was 17 I had to still sit at the kid table (I have a lot of aunts and uncles)! But last year I got to sit at the big table! I have to admit it was quite the leap in conversation and it kind of caught me by surprise. No longer did I have to keep Bryce from pummeling Chase. It was a welcomed relief
I love this idea of a kids table that I found over at sweet paul. Paper table cloth is easy to clean up after and it’s fun for kids to draw on! If Grandma did this for the kids table this year, then I’d have to go back to being the biggest kid at the kid table

Bouchon Bakery
Ahhhh, I think I just gained ten pounds looking through these pastries. The Bouchon Bakery is a shop that is dedicated to bringing the Parisian treats to the west. Visit their about page to learn about the men behind this dream.

Pumpkin Pie
I made pumpkin pie yesterday. It’s actually very easy once you get the ingredients. It involves a lot of time in the oven, and then two hours of cooling on a wire rack, but after that it’s easy!
I tested it out on my room mates and they said it was delicious. So I guess now I can add pumpkin pie to my list of things-I-can-make-that-are-edible.

Tasty Tuesdays
Since I’m trying not to pack on the pounds, here are some recipes that I love to look at

I would love to try my hand at these buttery croissants.

These brown sugary gingerspice cookies are perfect for a holiday party.

These mini cookies are filled with tons of sugar…delicious

Pumpkin bread is in season right now and I’d like to bake some soon.

I just love how cute these gingerbread men are!

This gingerbread man cookie is just as cute as well

This is a tall tower of vegan spice cookies

These are yummy allergy friendly cookies.

This cute Let It Snow Cupcake is actually vegan!

I’ve never ever had a cake popper and I think it’s wayyy past time to start. I think I’ll kick things off with one of these vanilla cake pops.
